Lolldaiga Hills Private Mobile Camp

Lolldaiga Hills Private Mobile Camp has a beautiful secluded setting on Loldaiga Hills ranch, 49,000 acres of privately owned land in the Laikipia region of northern Kenya. The ranch has large stands of cedar and olive forests, plenty of small streams and dams, and a varied landscape of hills, open grasslands, dry acacia woodlands and rock kopjes.

Accommodation & Facilities

Lolldaiga Hills camp sits in a grove of ancient cedar trees in a hidden valley and is hosted by Mikey and Tanya Carr-Hartley, owners of the Safari Collection. The camp has a warm, authentic old-style safari camp atmosphere, and a maximum of eight tents for up to 16 guests.  The tents are set up a good distance apart, and are simple but comfortable, with flush loos and bucket showers. The mess tent has a dining area, a lounge and a bar. As the camp is situated at around 7,500 ft above sea level, it can be cold at night here so hot water bottles are provided.

Wildlife & Activities

Lolldaiga Hills has resident lion, elephant, buffalo, and numerous antelope species. The varied landscapes offer plenty of scope for adventure, and the activities on offer include wildlife drives, walking safaris, swimming in rivers, hiking up escarpments, and enjoying meals and sundowners out in the bush. The adventurous can also spend a night fly camping here (must be pre-booked).
