Angama Safari Camp

Angama Safari Camp moves between several peaceful and secluded sites in the Mara Triangle on the western side of Kenya’s spectacular Masai Mara, one of the richest wildlife habitats on Earth. The camp is settled into natural bush with minimal impact on its surroundings and offers superb access to the prolific wildlife in the Mara Triangle which includes the great wildebeest migration between July and October.

Accommodation & Facilities
Angama Safari Camp has just four classic safari tents with en-suite bathrooms that have hot bucket showers and flushing loos, and a view of the plains. The tents have large bedrooms and shaded verandahs. The camp has a large mess tent with a dining table, a lounge with sofas and low tables, and a bar, and meals and drinks are often enjoyed outside in the shade of a tree or under the stars.

Wildlife & Activities
The Masai Mara is renowned for its phenomenal wildlife population and its varied and very beautiful scenery. Habitats include the iconic open grass plains of East Africa, acacia woodland, riverine forest, the Mara River and the Oloololo escarpment on the western side. Guests can see lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, giraffe, zebra, cheetah, hyena, hippo, crocodile, kongoni, topi, warthog, and of course the occasional wildebeest, on wildlife drives in open vehicles with expert guides. Being inside the Mara Triangle gives Angama Safari Camp guests a good head start on anyone staying outside the Triangle, and several hours of undisturbed wildlife viewing early and late in the day. Birdwatching is excellent here too, and hot-air balloon flights can also be arranged for an additional fee.
