Baobab Hill Bush House

Perched on a secluded, baobab-studded hill just north of the Luvuvhu River on a large 265 square kilometre private concession, Baobab Hill House is the old Pafuri ranger’s station in the far north of the Kruger National Park. Children of all ages are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities
Baobab Hill Bush House sleeps up to eight people in four twin or double stylishly decorated bedrooms. Perfect for families or groups of friends it has an open plan dining room, lounge, kitchen, child friendly swimming pool and a large veranda for sundowners and dinners. The property is fenced offering a child friendly environment and the house comes with a housekeeper, a professional guide and an open safari vehicle.

Eating & Sleeping.
The menu at Baobab is hearty and simple and child friendly food is provided at times to suit. Having exclusive use of the house allows for more flexibility and full access to the kitchen to prepare bottles and/or meals for younger kids as and when needed. Babysitting is available and is provided by the housekeeping staff who all have children of their own and babysit at nearby Pafuri Camp as well as Baobab Hill House. Payment is made directly to them and and rate currently (2018) is R180 per child per sitting.

Wildlife & Activities
This area is famous for the large herds of elephant and buffalo that are resident most of the year round. Birding is also a highlight with frequent sightings of Pel’s fishing owl amongst others. Whilst staying at Baobab Hill House guests can enjoy both day and night game drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles, guided walks and visits to stone age sites and to local Makuleke villages.

Specifically for children …
Children of all ages can enjoy game drives at Baobab Hill Bush House. If the children are very young and restless, guides will take them out for a shorter drive so that they can still experience the bush with their family.  The minimum age for bush walks is 16 years.
