Bateleur Safari Camp
Bateleur Safari Camp overlooks a seasonal waterhole in the Nhlaralumi riverbed in a peaceful and private part of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. Adjacent to the fabled Kruger National Park, Timbavati is a superb wildlife habitat extending to 53,000 hectares, and has an unfenced border with the Kruger, which allows free movement of wildlife throughout this amazing wilderness.
Accommodation & Facilities
Bateleur Safari Camp has rooms with thatched timber framed roofs and canvas sides, and large gauze covered windows to let the breeze through. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a bath tub and a shower, and there is a large shaded verandah at the front of each room. The camp has a spacious open-sided main lodge with a lounge, bar, and dining room. There is a lovely pool on the deck outside the lodge, and the open design of it all allows guests to see wildlife at all times.
Wildlife & Activities
Timbavati is a great place to see lion, leopard, elephant, black and white rhino, wild dog, and buffalo, as well as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, waterbuck, and plenty more species. The bird-life is also varied and prolific. Wildlife drives in open safari vehicles, walking safaris, and immersive bushcraft lessons are among the activities offered at Bateleur Safari Camp.
