Eden Nairobi

Hemingways Eden is a smart and stylish boutique hotel located in the peaceful suburb of Langata, on the south west side of Nairobi. Right next door to the AFEW Giraffe Sanctuary, the hotel sits within large wooded grounds where monkeys, warthogs and parrots roam freely.

Accommodation & Facilities
Once the family home of Anna and Tonio Trzebinski, Hemingways Eden consists of the main house and the separate Tonio’s Studio, where the late Tonio worked on his amazing art. The hotel has three bedrooms in the main house, along with a loft room suitable for children, and five rooms in the Studio, three of which are apartments. The Artist in Residence Cottage is in the garden. Each room is unique in design and decoration, with many original artworks hanging on the walls and specially made furniture throughout. Each room has a tv and wifi, as well as an en-suite bathroom. There is a beautiful dining room and lounge in the main house, which are richly furnished and decorated. Outside, a shaded verandah is the perfect spot for breakfast and lunch, or relaxing with a book.

Wildlife & Activities
The hotel is an excellent base from which to visit the adjacent Giraffe Sanctuary, the nearby Nairobi National Park, the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen’s former house and coffee farm, and the art galleries, workshops and shops in the locality. It’s also a lovely place to stay for a night or two before or after a safari in Kenya.
