Kariega River Lodge

Kariega River Lodge is a comfortable safari lodge located in the 10,000 hectare Kariega Reserve in the malaria free Eastern Cape. The lodge sits above the Bushman’s River with view to the bush beyond.

Accommodation & Facilities
The River Lodge has 10 thatched suites. All suites have en-suite bathrooms with a shower and bath and have double/twin king size beds. The suites are air-conditioned, with a lounge and fireplace offering satellite television and tea and coffee facilities and opening onto a private viewing deck above the river. The lodge offers a relaxed and friendly environment where guests can enjoy traditional meals in the restaurant or boma, a drink at the bar, or a swim in the pool.

Wildlife & Activities
Kariega River Lodge offers a range of activities including morning and afternoon wildlife drives , cruises on the Kariega River, walking safaris in the predator-free eastern section of the reserve, canoeing down the Bushman’s or Kariega Rivers and fishing (own equipment required). There is a wellness centre available to all lodges within the reserve (additional charge).
