Shompole Wilderness Camp

Shompole Wilderness is a small tented camp located deep in the south of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. Situated between Amboseli National Park and the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, guests have access to over 350,000 acres, in an area with very few other tourists. The stunning colours of Lake Magadi and Lake Natron, filled with vast numbers of Lesser and Greater Flamingos make this one of the most unique and photogenic destinations in Kenya.

Accommodation & Facilities
The camp is family and owner-run and can be booked individually or on an exclusive-use basis to ensure a private, personal stay at your own pace. There is a pool and plenty of space to relax and enjoy your surroundings in camp, as well as a wide range of activities on offer to keep the whole group entertained.

Wildlife & Activities
Shompole offers the chance to experience nature both in and out of a safari vehicle. Activities include day and night wildlife drives, bush walks and runs, tubing, kayaking, and fishing. It is also one of the few places in East Africa where you can walk with habituated baboons.
