Cricket Fine Art, London, is a small contemporary art gallery based in the heart of Chelsea.

It is run by a friendly team of three who between them have had over sixty years experience working in the art world.

Founded by Leslie Pratt in 1996 the gallery represents a selection of gifted contemporary artists and somewhere amongst our large selection of stock we always hope to be able to find that ‘special’ painting for our clients.

We are delighted to be holding Julia Cassels’ solo show ‘Safari’ which opens on the 7th November. This is kindly sponsored by Aardvark Safaris, who like Julia, are committed to protecting wildlife for the future.

Julia has painted since she was a child, but it was moving to Africa at the age of twenty, that proved inspirational for her work. In this exhibition, Julia captivates the rhythms, shapes and rich colours of Africa and her fascination and deep love of wildlife is evident in each and every one of her paintings.

Although Julia specialises in watercolour, she will often use inks, charcoal and graphite sticks to attain a natural fluidity of line. Her work reflects her intimate understanding of the spirit of subjects, and her distinctive fluid style captures their very essence with remarkable spontaneity.

‘Safari’ continues until the 18th November at Cricket Fine Art.

Private view on 7th November 6 to 8 pm.
